Thomas Patrick Wangler, age 78, of Columbus, born September 26th, 1937, passed away at home Tuesday May 17th, 2016 from cancer. Preceded in death by parents Anna Margaret “Peg” (Ferris) and Dr. Thomas P. Wangler. Survived by wife of 45 years Sally (Turner) and children Jeffrey (Kathryn Gilliland) of Denver, Timothy (Monica Lubbers) of Columbus, Aaron “A.J.” (Billie Meadows) of Columbus, and Lauren (Barry Doyle) of Denver, and grandchildren Ryan and Brooklyn Wangler; sister Peggy (Bob) Tonti of Covington, LA, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 1955 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Attended the University of Dayton and The Ohio State University. Owner of Contractors Unlimited Inc., bridge and heavy highway contractors. Served in the U.S. Army. Member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, raising beagles, and riding his John Deere tractor. Friends may call at Egan-Ryan Northwest Funeral Home (4661 Kenny Rd.) on Friday May 20th from 4pm-7pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (20 E. Dominion Blvd.) Saturday May 21st at 10am . Internment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace Church or Our Lady of Peace St. Vincent De Paul Society.
