Melanie E. Nagel (98) of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Abbington of Arlington Assisted Living.  She was born April 21, 1918 in Glen Lyon, PA to the late Joseph & Caroline Nagorski.  She is preceded in death by her brothers, Narcy Joseph Nagel and Bernard (Bernie) Charles Nagel, aunts, Anne Stepinski, Rose Adamski, Tillie Butkowski, and uncles Charles & Joseph Ruptic.  She is survived by cousin Mary Lou (Francis) Zaleski & Family of Glen Lyon, PA, nieces Karen (Keith) Reiss, Melanie Robbins, Mary Christine Beck all of Wilmington, NC and Kristine (Dee) Pellissier of Columbus.

She is loved and remembered by many grandnieces and grandnephews and great grandnieces & grandnephews.  Following careers in banking (New York City) and insurance (Columbus) she retired to enjoy a faith filled and modest life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Upper Arlington 43220 at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Friends may call 30 minutes prior to the Mass in the church vestibule.  Private interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Arrangements by Egan-Ryan Northwest Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Building Fund at St. Andrew Catholic Church at the above address.
