Martha Sliter Sheeran died Friday, February 05, 2016 at the Woodlands Assisted Living.. Novelist and free-lance writer. Retired Director of Corporate Communication of Nationwide Insurance Companies. Charter member of Christ the King Catholic Church and longtime organist there. Graduate of St. Mary of the Springs College (now Ohio Dominican University) where she received it’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 1982. Member of the Catholic Women’s League, Bambino Guild, Kappa Gamma Pi, Bexley Woman’s Club, IFCA, Staccato Unit of Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Bexley Activities Club. Preceded in death by husband James and sisters-in-law Martha Rocob, Dorothy Abernathy, Katherine DeVoe and Margaret Marie Krimmel. Survived by close friend from her days at Rosemont, Kitty, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m.at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME 403 E. Broad St. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave. Thursday 10:00 a.m.. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Christ the King St.Vincent de Paul Society.
