Dear Sweet Christa,
I already miss our Bob Evans lunches together, tea at your kitchen table, watching you talk with your bird, Herme, pouring over old photos together and hearing stories of your life in Germany, Sweden and the U.S., going for walks at the park near the Reynoldsburg Senior Center, watching you enjoy being here at our home - you called it "heaven", and our Thanksgivings here with 25+members of my family. We adopted you into our family, as so many other families did. We are united in our grief.
You touched countless lives with your exuberance for life, your keen artistic eye, your appreciation of the beauty of God's creation and your Catholic faith. You possessed such grace and quiet humility. I hope I was able to provide a measure of joy and comfort during times of struggle and sadness in this valley of tears. I felt a sense of triumph whenever I could make you laugh even on the not so good days!
Please pray for us, dear Christa, as we continue to fight the good fight. You will never be forgotten. You will always be loved. Rest well, sweet Christa.
