I had the pleasure of living above The Colonel for a couple years while at Shadow Lakes apartments. He was so kind and I always enjoyed hearing about his travels and life stories. Walking into his unit was like walking into a part of American history. What a wonderful life he had. My thoughts are with his family.

Carol and family. I am so sorry you have lost your dad and grandfather. I will always remember Charlie at my husband, Jim Rownd's, funeral on November 15, 2013 and the rest of his family being so kind to me. 2 great WWII vets and friends are now resting in piece. Sorry I can not be with you all in Columbus for his service but I will be thinking of you all and Charlie.
