Cecil E. Bosworth, age 92, died peacefully Saturday July 16, 2016. Member of Iron Workers Local 172. Veteran WWII, 193rd Tank Batallion and recipient of 2 Bronze Stars. Member American Legion #283, VFW #376, D.A.V. #40, former member Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society, member of Christ the King Catholic Church since 1947, Scoutmaster of Troop #335, Ironworkers Local #172 Retiree Club, resident of Amber Park and member of the Resident Council.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Charlotte, son Stephen James, parents Eugene and Pauline Bosworth, and sister Loretta Skaggs. Survived by children Sue (Kevin Amos) Waggoner, John (Michelle), Mary Ann Rohal, Thomas (Mary), Jane (Jim) Carter, James (Donna), Christine “Cricket” (Rick) Diewald; daughter-in-law Sally (Walt) Lindeboom; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday 3-8 p.m. at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 2770 E. Livingston Ave. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Amber Park and Mt. Carmel Hospice for their special care and attention.
