Brendan John Ware, age 83, of Grandview Heights, died Friday, June 24 after a brief illness.  He was born in Dublin, Ireland on August 27, 1932 to the late Michael and Roseanna Ware.  He graduated from University College Dublin in 1954 and came to North America two years later.  For many years he worked for American Electric Power, first in New York and then in Columbus from 1980.  He retired as AEP’s Research Director in 1996.  He loved his family, golf and opera.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane; his children, Michael (Patricia Murphy), Henry (Jill) and Frieda; grandsons, Leo, Declan and Milo; sisters in Ireland, Sheila (Jerry) Byrne and Nuala McEllistrim.  Friends may call Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street.  Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 1420 Grandview Avenue.  He will be interred at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center, New York, New York, 10023.
