Joseph Michael Zag, age 63 went home to be with our Lord and Savior July 8, 2016, peacefully at home.  He was born September 21, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio.  He was a graduate of Miami University of Ohio. Member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth Zag.  Survived by sister, Cecilia Ridenour of Blacklick, Ohio, brother, Christopher (Lisa) Zag, of Columbus, Ohio; nieces and nephews; Allen (Paige), Sean (Lisa), Bruce (Nayesha) Ridenour, Amie (Ryan) Keller, Michael (Katie), and Alyssa Zag; great nieces, nephews and one great-great niece; aunts and uncles; Irene Eanes, Nancy Zag, Thelma Zag, Andy (Clara) Zag, Robert Zag; several cousins; longtime and best friends, Greg Herbst, Sean Rader and David Monroe. He was an Administrator for the City of Columbus Waste Management and retired from OSU Environmental Services Administration department and Federal Defense Finance and Accounting Service and was currently employed at Eddie Bauers. Friends may call 5-8 p.m., Rosary 5 p.m., Wednesday at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME 403 E. Broad St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Church 4383 E. Broad St. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
