Vivian Vesco Obituary

Vivian Teresa Vesco, age 91, a resident at The Villas of Saint Therese Assisted Living, passed away on Wednesday September 29. She was born on July 13, 1930 in Uhrichsville, Ohio.  She was proud to be the daughter of immigrant parents, Gina Guerra and Alexander Besozzi, who came to America in 1920 from northern Italy to seek a better life.  She enjoyed a childhood surrounded by a loving and close knit family. Vivian graduated from St Mary’s High School in Dennison, Ohio, and attended Nazareth College in Louisville, Kentucky on a full scholarship. She was a registered medical technologist, and retired from Mt Carmel Medical Center after 23 years of dedicated service.  Vivian married the love of her life, Louis J. Vesco, on October 23, 1954. They enjoyed 66 happy and loving years together. She is preceded in death by Lou, who passed away on October 30, 2020. She is survived by her daughters: Sandra( Jeff) Groom, Louise ( Robert ) Sanborn and son Greg, as well as much loved and cherished grandchildren: Gina, Jeff, Danny( Hannah) and Nick ( Madison Cooley) Groom, and twins Sean and Maura ( fiancé Pat McCauley) Sanborn  and many beloved nieces and nephews in the US and cousins in Italy.  Her dear friend Phyllis Palmer of Westerville was her visiting angel. Vivian was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church . She was a member of the Heavenly Dusters and the St. Anthony Women’s Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She and Lou enjoyed traveling to Italy, cruising the world on Holland America , and spending the winters in Green Valley, Arizona. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting, and was the queen of Scrabble. They spent many years surrounded by wonderful neighbors in their Wyndham Park community. Funeral Mass and burial are private.
