Thomas Tarmey, age 89, passed away on March 21, 2026. Tom was born in Cincinnati on July 3, 1936. He graduated from Turrel High School in 1954. He received his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from Xavier University. He then graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law on June 7, 1968 and passed his bar exam on August 11, 1976. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Tom worked for many years in the Commerce Department and then at the Attorney General’s Office where he retired at the age of 73. Tom had many accomplishments including a Community Service Award from the Dispatch and the Mayor’s Award for Voluntary Service. He was a member of St. Andrew Church where he was a member of the choir and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Vaud-Villities for many years and was a supernumerary in many operas in Cincinnati and Columbus throughout his life. Tom’s parents come from Ireland when they were young and he was extremely proud of his Irish Heritage. He is survived by his longtime partner, Sandy Daehler. Friends may call Friday, March 27 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at St. Andrew Church, 1899 McCoy Road where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery.
