Thomas D. McGonagle, age 27, passed away Wednesday, February 5 at OSU hospital after battling pneumonia. He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Mary Ann McGonagle and his 2 brothers, Colin J. McGonagle and Micah R. McGonagle and many wonderful cousins as well as aunts and uncles. He was a graduate of Otterbein College with a degree in computer science and worked as a computer programmer at a Columbus Ohio company, Cleveland Cliffs. Thomas will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, kindness and gentle soul. Not only did he care for those around him, he encouraged them and inspired them to be better each and every day. When he wanted to take a little break and escape from his work life, he indulged in video games which helped him escape from reality for a bit. He enjoyed the sun and palm trees, but primarily Los Angeles palm trees. He's been to LA three times including his most recent brother's trip in December of 2023. Thomas enjoyed luxury and swiss made watches, and had a few of his own. His favorite watch in his collection being the Tank Must de Cartier, in which he'd worn often. Thomas had a keen sense of style from his tailored suits to his button down cardigans and he also loved family time playing ping pong and games at the table. He will truly be missed! Friends may call 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME 403 E. Broad St. where his Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Somerset, OH.
