Thomas J Huneck

Thomas J. Huneck, 59, of Columbus passed away peacefully at home on June 5, with his wife Sue by his side.

Tom was born May 31, 1963 in Columbus, OH to the late James J and MariJean (Kline) Huneck. Tom was a graduate of Whetstone High School and attended Ohio Dominican University.  He was in the mortgage industry for 30 years.

Tom was a loving husband and a devoted brother, uncle and friend. Tom and Sue shared 29 years of marriage after courting for 3 years.  He was a trusted voice of reason and a true confidant to all who knew and loved him.  Tom welcomed everyone to the table with a warm smile for great conversation, infectious laughter and lots of fun. He was an avid Buckeye fan and never missed a chance to cheer on his team.  He was passionate about music and spent much of his free time jamming with his headphones on. Tom also enjoyed taking trips to California and Vegas.  Along with his family and friends, Tom cherished his four-legged kids, Casey, Lucy and Jake.

Tom is survived by his wife Sue (Wiles) Huneck; two brothers Tim (Gina) and Andy, Niece, Emma Huneck, Nephews, Austin and Aaron Huneck. Aunt Carol Kindler and Cousins Beth and Doug Kindler.  

Other family:  Father-in-law David Wiles, B/Sin-law Mike (Jill) Wiles, Nephew Joshua (Taryn) Wiles, Niece Megan Wiles. Special friends, Ryan, Megan and Liam, Phil and Teri, Vicky, Mike and Diana, Lori and Sam, Claire, Mary, Pete and countless others that he loved and enjoyed spending time with.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Ed and Ellen Kline and Larry and Dorothy Huneck, Uncle Don Kindler, Mother in – law Shelly Wiles.

Friends and Family may visit from 10-12 on Sunday June 12 at Egan-Ryan Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road where a Celebration of Life will immediately follow. Mike Hawkey Officiating.  Although not required the family would appreciate those attending wear masks for others who are vulnerable.

Private burial will be at Union cemetery, Columbus Ohio on a later date.
