Thomas (Tom) Charles Keller, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024 at the Bickford of Upper Arlington. Tom was born June 23, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Christ the King Elementary School and later graduated from Rosary High School in 1956. In his early years, Tom worked for the family dairy, Harmony Farms, delivering milk to many in Columbus. He later worked for Seven-up Bottling Company, Unitas Transmission and then as a truck driver until he reached retirement age.
In addition to the jobs listed above, Tom loved to farm. From his earliest childhood, he got up early in the morning to go to his grandfather’s farm and milk cows. He enjoyed planting and harvesting crops with his favorite John Deere tractor. He loved nothing better than to give away sweet corn and vegetables from his garden. Tom was also very gifted at fixing and building things. A kind, humble, generous man, he required little to be happy.
Later in life, Tom loved attending his grandchildren’s ballgames, band concerts, school functions, Christmas programs, football games, fair exhibits, and graduations. He loved sitting on his back porch looking out over his farm and drinking coffee.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Kathryn Keller and brother, Little Tony.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carol as well as his three children: Cindy (Mike) Butchko, Karen Hupp, and Jeff (Morralee) Keller. Grandchildren are Nicholas Hupp, Zachary (Maddy)Hupp, Joe Butchko, Sara Hupp, Josh Butchko, Alex Keller, and Ashley Keller. Luke and Henry Hupp are his two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Tim (Jan) Keller and many friends and relatives.
