Thomas A. Brown

Thomas (Tom) A. Brown, loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 63 on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

Born on August 18, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to Frank and MarLou (Theado) Brown, Tom grew up with his siblings, Carol, Sharon, Ken, and Ric. He married the love of his life, Cynthia (Cindy) L. Miller, on June 6, 1981. They raised four children, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Andrea, and Michael. Tom spent his career as an entrepreneur and helping others.

Tom’s greatest love was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working on projects with his kids, and taking care of everyone. He liked working on projects around the house, most recently creating an outdoor sanctuary where he and Cindy would spend time watching the birds, squirrels, and deer over their morning coffee.

Tom loved music, especially golden oldies and going to live events, being outdoors and gardening. He enjoyed a good game of poker. He was known for his giving spirit and propensity to help if he was able. He was steadfast, virtuous, and honorable. His heart was always in the right place. He is already greatly missed.

Tom is preceded in death by his father, Frank. He is survived by his wife Cindy, four children, Jeffrey (Nikki), Nicholas (Jennifer), Andrea (Ryan), and Michael (Jessica), his mother MarLou, his sisters Sharon (Steve) and Carol (Kevin), his brothers, Ken (Amy) and Ric, grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Connor, Wyatt, Nathan, Mason, Kaylee, Hayden, Finn, and Tucker, many extended family members, and countless friends.

Tom’s family will receive visitors at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43220, on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2 to 5 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Parish on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. 4081 Reed Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43220.
