Terrell Jones

Terrell (Terry) Jones of Columbus, Ohio passed away suddenly on Saturday, July
10, 2021. He was born on September 2, 1954, in Colorado to Delmer and Shirley
(Gilbert) Jones and lived all over the country during his lifetime.
Terry spent a large part of his adult life in Peoria, Illinois. He opened a bicycle
shop while attending Bradley University and graduated with a degree in
Economics. Terry was highly intelligent and continued his studies by obtaining the
credentials to become an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. Terry worked for
Argonaut Great Central Insurance in Peoria where he met the love of his life,
Jackie Robinson and they were married in 1993. In 2001, Terry accepted the
position as Vice President within their Actuarial department at Grange Insurance,
headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
While in Columbus, Terry volunteered with many organizations. As a devout man
of faith, he was heavily involved with his church, Linden Life Fellowship and was
a steadfast prayer warrior. His love of bicycling led him to support Pedal with Pete
(a nonprofit organization for Cerebral Palsy research). Terry also loved to give his
time volunteering weekly with lunch preparation/service to the community at the
C.R.A.C.K. House Ministries. He gave of himself to numerous other organizations
and was quick to help anyone in need. Terry was an outdoor enthusiast and loved
going to concerts, going on hikes/walks, traveling, skiing, and spending time with
Jackie and their dogs. He was always whistling, had kind words for everyone, and
his genuine smile lit up the room. Terry always wanted to be helpful and will be
greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors are his wife of almost 28 years, Jackie; sister, Gloria (Jon) Barber;
brother, Ron Jones; father-in-law, Joseph Pat Robinson; sisters-in-law, Debbie
(Steve) Roark and Jeanette (C.J.) Foster; brothers-in-law, Andrew Willmon, Chip
Padgett, Scott (Sharon) Robinson and Tim Black; many nieces, nephews, a great
niece and great nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and
grandparents.
Egan-Ryan Funeral Home has assisted the family with cremation services. There
will be no services at this time. However a celebration of life service will be
announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to

C.R.A.C.K. Ministries, American Heart Association, or the ASPCA.
