Tad courageously fought mental illness for a long time. He worked so hard to conquer anxiety and depression and, after years of fighting a tremendous battle, the pain was just too much for him to bear. While we fought alongside him, Tad fought so much more. He was so brave and we want everyone to know that Tad had an enormous strength that was not visible to most. He managed his demons with a hope for freedom and a life that he could define unrestricted. We are so proud and honored to have been a part of Tad's 34 years and hope that all who knew him talk about him in the same way. He deserves all of the light and relief that he wanted for so long, it was not our right to determine the length of his fight, and we will celebrate his courage and spirit forever.
We ask that in lieu of flowers or meals, you make a donation in Tad's name to "On Our Sleeves" through Nationwide Children's Hospital which can be reached by going to the On Our Sleeves donation page for Tad Grubbs.
We would love for you to share a great story on the Tribute Wall to celebrate Tad's life until we can celebrate together at a later date.
