Sr. Mary Fedor O.P. Obituary

Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Mary Ann Fedor died at Mohun Health Care Center, Columbus, OH on  August 28, 2021. She was born in 1929 in Windber, PA and in 1951 entered the congregation of St. Rose of Lima in Oxford, MI, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Sister Mary Ann earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Siena Heights College and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Catholic University. She ministered as an elementary school teacher, administrator in schools in Pennsylvania and Michigan, and taught at Pontiac Business Institute. Sister Mary Ann also served as President and Vice President of the Oxford Dominican Congregation. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, working at St. Mary’s Retreat House and coordinating retreats for youth at Dominican Center. Sister Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary Boruch Fedor, her sisters Irene Hordubay and Mary Miller and her brother, Michael Fedor. She is survived her sisters, Anne Clark and Kathy Wise. A private Memorial Service will be held at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel.  Burial will take place at a later date at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, Oxford, MI by Egan-Ryan Funeral Home and Modetz Funeral Homes.
