Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Dolores Ann Pfeiffer died at Mohun Health Care Center, Columbus OH on April 10, 2025. She was born in 1930 in Astoria, New York and in 1955 entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine deRicci, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace.
Sr. Dolores Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, a Master of Arts Degree from St. Mary’s College of California, and a Master of Science Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. She served in a variety of ministries in New Mexico, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania, as a staff member in retreat houses, parish ministry, pastoral counseling and as a teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ella Olesnovich Pfeiffer and her brother George Pfeiffer. She is survived by her brother Edward Pfeiffer and nieces and nephews.
A vigil of remembrance will be held at 4:45 PM on April 23, 2025, at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel, Columbus, OH.
The funeral liturgy will be held at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel at 9:30 AM on April 24, 2025, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery by Egan-Ryan Funeral Home.
