Sherry L. (Welch) Guthrie

Sherry L. Guthrie, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 23, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by her parents Betty and Bill Welch; son Randy and granddaughter Amanda and at least six dogs named Taffy. Survived by children Timothy DeMatteis, Khristy (Andy) Ryan, Debbie DeMatteis, Jill DeMatteis, David (Jill Marie) DeMatteis; grandchildren Brian, Kylie, Meaghan (Chris), Matthew, Joey (Crystal), Randy, Chad (Tanya), Shawn, Jacob, Alayna, Brianna, Vincenzo and Nikolas; great-grandchildren Tony, Nya, Anthony, Amethyst, Niko, Jaiven, Carson and Matteo other relatives and friends including special cousin, Patty Welch (Heart Sister); many special friends and her favorite mentor, Bill W. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel 4661 Kenny Rd. In accordance with her wishes a Service of Remembrance will be conducted by her eldest son Timothy at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in her memory to Livengood Service Dogs.
