Rose Ann Nixon

Rose Ann Nixon, age 64, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Rose Ann was born in Binghamton, New York, the daughter of Margaret Ann Nixon and the late Joseph Nixon. The family moved to their current home in Boca Raton, Florida in 1968. Rose attended St. Joan of Arc School, Boca Raton; Cardinal Gibbons High School, Fort Lauderdale; and graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Rose had a successful career as a CPA, working at Workman, Rhine & Co., CPAs, in Boca Raton, before moving to Columbus, Ohio, where she worked the last 33+ years at Winkel Green & Company LLP as a tax manager.

Everyone around Rose knew of her very generous nature, and that her family and Catholic faith were central in her life. She attended Our Lady of Peace, and St. Catharine Parishes in Columbus, and Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Although Rose will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in the knowledge she is safely home in heaven.

Rose is survived by her loving mother, Margaret Nixon of Boca Raton, FL; brother Paul Nixon of Manassas, VA; sisters: Linda (Gregg) Tone of Boca Raton; Jean Hull of Boca Raton; Anne Nixon of Brooklyn, NY; and Mary (Eric) Beyer of Houston, TX. She also leaves behind cherished nephews and nieces: Jeffrey Hull; Alyssa, Cailey & Kieran Tone; Zane, Jenna & Erica Beyer. She was predeceased by her father Joseph Nixon.

The family will celebrate Rose's life with services in Columbus, Ohio and Boca Raton, Florida:

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday October 27, 2023 at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Rd., Columbus, OH, where friends may call 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL, followed by interment at Boca Raton Cemetery & Mausoleum, under the direction of Glick Family Funeral Home.

The family has suggested, in lieu of flowers, a donation be given to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation or to a charity of your choice, in loving memory of Rose Ann Nixon.
