Obituary

Robert Francis Malnate, age 86, born in Seattle Washington but resided in Columbus since 1971 passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Robert spent 23 years of selfless service in the military and retired as a Master Sergeant in the US Army Reserves.  He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Flanagan) Malnate, his son Derek Malnate and his wife Melanie, daughter Tina (Malnate) Lawless and her husband Carl along with 7 grandchildren Emily, Dillon, Dalton, Meghan, Hayden, Braeden and Brooklyn. Survived by his sister, Barbara (Malnate) King residing in Orange County, CA.  
Robert’s services will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday June 14th at Immaculate Conception Church 414 E. North Broadway followed by a celebration of life reception in the adjoining Marion Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice. Arrangements by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME.
