Richard Durbin, 66, of Columbus Ohio passed away unexpectedly March 31, 2026 at Doctor’s West Hospital. He was born June 9, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Alphonsus J Durbin and Dorothy Bauman Durbin. He was a graduate of Bishop Hartley HS and employed by Eastway Plumbing Supply. Formerly employed with Worly Plumbing Supply, Michaels Finer Meats, A-Tech Body Shop, Germain Car Dealership and Big Bear Warehouse. He is survived by sisters, Linda (David) Fersch, Marilyn Durbin, Patricia (Jeffrey) Bartsch and brother Robert (Sue) Durbin, MD and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great -nephews, cousins, best friend and loving companion, Pam Gibson, and lifelong friend Gerry Hooffstetter.
Richard was a very caring and loving person and most of all a hard worker in whatever job he had. His co-workers were very special to him. He always looked out for others in finding ways to help
them. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to The Bishop Griffin Resource Center at 2867 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43209 in Richard’s name. Friends may call Thursday, April 30th 4-7 pm. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 E. Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 1st at 10:00 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2777 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus Ohio.
