Richard R. Stedman

Richard R. Stedman, age 85, Friday July 23, 2021 after a brief illness.  Practicing attorney in Central Ohio for over 57 years.  Retired partner with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease law firm.  Graduate of St. Charles Preparatory High School and The Ohio State University and Law School.  Dick has a lifetime of service throughout Central Ohio and the Columbus Diocese.  He was a long time supporter of St. Charles Preparatory High School, the Boy Scouts of America, St. Andrew Church, and a founding member of the Catholic Foundation.  He was active in the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and Cradling Christianity.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing and played various musical instruments over his lifetime.  He took great joy in all of his grandchildren.  Getting to know each one and encouraging them along the way.  He is survived by wife of over 55 years Elizabeth (Libby) Stedman; children Gretchen (Wayne) Kleman, Richard (Amy) Stedman II, and Patrick Stedman; grandchildren Allison, Brendan, Richard (Roux), Joshua, Elijah, and Myer; sisters Patricia (Scott) Martin, Barbara Crawford and Mary (Steve) Schodorf; many nieces, nephews and friends.  Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 Kenny Rd.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 1899 McCoy Rd.  Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.   Friends who wish may contribute in Dick’s memory to St. Charles Preparatory High School, 2010 E.
