Pattie attended Whetstone High School and later married Dennis Devine.  They had four children together and she stayed home to raise them for many years.  She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church and was very active in volunteering with her children’s activities.  Her interests included learning and speaking Chinese, teaching Tai Chi to various age groups and reading.  When her children were older she became a part owner of A Touch of Earth in the North Market.  Years later, she opened a tea shop called Tea & Things in the Short North and ran it for many years.  In her later career, she worked as a dedicated caregiver and activities assistant at Abbington of Arlington and Mother Angeline McCrory Manor until she retired.

During retirement, she regularly cared for her grandchildren and they had many fun times at Grandma Pattie’s house.

She was preceded in death by her son Colin, husband Dennis, and father Eugene.  She is survived by her mother, Lucille Halsey, sister Vicky Halsey, brothers Peter Halsey, and Phillip Halsey (Teri), children, Brian Devine, Christine Moeller (Bradley), Casey Devine (Helen) and her grandchildren, Lauren, Miriam, Alex, and Alayna, and numerous nieces and nephews.
