Patricia Lou Vandagriff: August 17, 1942 - October 22, 2019
Patty left us after a brave battle against many factors in her life. She was a devoted Catholic and graduate of Rosary High School class of 1960. Patty’s Irish Catholic roots were evident every St Patrick’s Day at the Shamrock Club’s Irish Family Reunion which she loved celebrating. Her love for the Ohio State Buckeyes will grant all of us warm memories from tailgates, road trips and bowl games. Patty loved to travel with her beloved husband, Bob. Most especially, they loved Mazatlan, Mexico where they spent many fun-filled sunny days with close friends and Los Tres Hermanos and the entire Vandagriff clan! Patty served as a bookkeeper for the Catholic Diocese for over 35 years in Holy Spirit Church, St Mary’s in Groveport and Immaculate Conception. She often volunteered in those parishes and at the Knights of Columbus of which she was an auxiliary member. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gwen and Ralph Kelley, brother Michael Kelley and husband Bob Vandagriff. She is survived by many family members who will miss her dearly: Brother Larry Kelley (Sharon), Daughters Kelley Bloomer (Rob), Heather Roush (Joe), Michele Smith (Jon). The highlight of her life, her grandchildren: Keith Vandagriff (Beth), Jeremy Smith, Jill Hand (Jason), Jamee Patrick (Ben), Maggie Roush, Evan Roush, Max Bloomer and Zak Bloomer. Patty has many loving great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her very much. Calling hours will be at Egan Ryan Funeral home at 403 E. Broad Street, Columbus on Sunday October 27,2019 from 2:00pm-5:00pm. Please join us by wearing your Buckeye gear to honor Patty. A funeral mass will be celebrated by dear friend Monsignor Tony Missimi at Our Lady of Victory Church 1559 Roxbury on Monday October 28 at 11:00am. Internment will follow at St Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery on South High Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Columbus Charity Newsies.
