Patricia Regan Obituary

Pat (as she preferred to be called) passed away at Riverside Hospital on November 30, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1946, during a snow storm.

She attended St. Francis de Sales High School, graduating in the school’s second graduating class in 1965.  While later working for the State of Ohio in the Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI), she attended night classes at Franklin University and graduated with a BS in Business.  She retired from the state after 30 years of service in 1999.

Pat loved sports, animals, and outdoor activities. She enjoyed horseback riding, softball, bowling and camping through the years, along with watching football, especially OSU Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  She was very proud of her Irish heritage, and was able to visit Ireland and kiss the Blarney Stone!

She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbus.  Some of her activities there include being a Eucharistic Minister, participating in Eucharistic Adoration weekly for many years, as well as many Bible Study classes, and being an active member of the IC Conference of St. Vincent de Paul.

Pat didn’t know a stranger and made friends easily with her outgoing nature, kindness, and sense of humor.  She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She is predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Regan, and her sisters, Sue Ann Benner and Linda Lou Wright.  She is survived by her Aunt Frances Thompson, Uncle Jerry Regan, her childhood and best friend, Michele Goodrich, whom she met in third grade at St. Augustine grade school, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her beloved cats, Beauty and Toby.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the IC Conference of St. Vincent de Paul.
