Patricia Ann (Fallon) Durbin

Patricia Ann (Fallon) Durbin, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.

Pat was born on July 10,1933 in Columbus, Ohio.  She was a graduate of Rosary High School and St. Mary of the Springs College (now Ohio Dominican University).During her life she was employed as a Recreation Leader for the Columbus Recreation& Parks Department at McDowell Senior Center, the Director of Alumni Relations at Ohio Dominican College and as Volunteer Coordinator and Resource Development Coordinator for Meals-on-Wheels/LifeCare Alliance.

Pat was passionate about everything she did from her commitment to the health and well-being of others to her belief in the dignity of all people, especially women. Active in her church and community, she was a respected leader in many of the organizations she belonged to, often serving as president or secretary.

At Corpus Christi Church, she was president of the Rosary Altar Society, involved with the Christian Family Movement, Parish Council, Religious Education, director of many church variety shows and participated in the Christ Renews his Parish retreats.  At Christ the King Church, she was a cantor, eucharistic minister, President of the senior group, hosted the Women’s Respite program at her home and pool, and helped plan many retreats for the Women’s Club.

With the Catholic Diocese of Columbus she served on the Diocesan Pastoral Council, the Justice & Peace Commission, the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, the Catholic Times Board of Directors and was a book review columnist for the Catholic Times.

In the community, Pat was a Girl Scout Leader and an active member of the Daughters of Erin, League of Women Voters, Kappa Gamma Pi, Gray Panthers, the B.R.E.A.D. organization, Church Women United, and the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary.

During her life, she received the Metropolitan Area Church Council Living Faith Award, the Ohio Dominican College Distinguished Alumni Award, and the Service Above Self Award from the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary.

In her spare time, Pat loved reading and was a member of many book clubs, enjoyed singing in choirs at church, and took great pleasure in traveling to the beach with family and many trips abroad with the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary. She cared about nutrition and exercise before it was popular and was a part of the Women’s Health Initiative, the largest, national long-term women’s health prevention study.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jim, and her parents Joseph and Josephine (Wittenmeier) Fallon. She is survived by her daughters Mary Iacoboni, Carol Durbin, Teresa Durbin-Ames (Larry); grandchildren Megan Trinh (Thai), Maureen Iacoboni, Grant Ames (Shannon) and Zac Ames (Cecilia); great-granddaughters Allie & Kylie Trinh and Willow Ames; her sister Mary Jo McIntosh; sister-in-law Jane Sotak and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, July 7 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 E. Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. Christ the King Church, 2777 E.
