Pamela B. Welch, known affectionately as Pam to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Born on June 9, 1953, also in Columbus, Pam's life was a testament to her kindness, her passion for learning, and the deep love she held for her family and the simple joys in life.
Pam is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, William H. Welch, who was her partner in every sense of the word. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, mutual respect, and countless adventures. Pam's educational journey was marked by her dedication and compassion, culminating in a Master's Degree in Nursing. Her career was more than a profession; it was a calling that allowed her to touch the lives of many with her innate warmth and care. She is also survived by her son, Andy (Kelly) Welch; and grandson, Alex Welch. Above all, Pam cherished her role as a grandmother.
A woman of diverse interests, Pam found pleasure in the tranquility of The Florida Keys, where she and William often retreated to bask in the serene beauty of the ocean. Her adventurous spirit was also evident in her love for attending auctions and estate sales, always on the lookout for hidden treasures and unique finds. Pam's zest for life extended to her palate; she enjoyed the many dishes offered by local restaurants, always eager to sample new ones and share the experience.
Pamela B. Welch's journey on earth may have come to a close, but the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she shared will continue to resonate with all who were blessed to be a part of her story. Her spirit, characterized by kindness and a gentle strength, will forever be remembered and cherished.
