Nicoline M. “Nicki” Frencho, age 96, died peacefully in the presence of her three children on Monday, December 20, 2021 at her daughter’s home. Nicki was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her focus was always family and food first as any good Italian knows. She was born on April 25, 1925 in East Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angelina Castellano. Nicoline was a long-time member of St. Anthony Church in Columbus and most recently a member of St. Matthew the Apostle in Gahanna. She is survived by her son, Jack (Candy) Frencho; daughters, Lorraine (Bob) Curtin and Jane (Joe) DeCenzo; grandchildren, J.J. (Kim) Frencho, Kelly (Andy) Noll, Brian (Angie) Frencho, Joe (Colleen) Curtin, Teresa DeCenzo; great-grandchildren, Jack, Sophia, Mary, Aubrey, and Luke Frencho; Andrew, Jack, Dominic, and Nicoline Noll; Teddy and Sammy Curtin; numerous loving nieces and nephews. Nicki was the last survivor of the ‘greatest’ generation in our family which taught us the importance of a strong faith, a close family, and a patriotic spirit. She is preceded in death by her husband, John L. “Jack” Frencho, sister Julia Cortazzo and brother Samuel Castellano. She will be forever missed. Friends may call Monday evening from 5 – 7 PM at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 E. Broad St. where the rosary will begin at 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, December 28 at 10 AM at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew Charitable Works Ministry, c/o St. Matthew the Apostle Church.
