Nancy Byars White

Nancy Byars White, 101, died October 16, 2021, at her home in Columbus, Ohio. Her daughter. Victoria Walsh, was by her side when she passed peacefully.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date for family and loved ones of Mrs. White.

She was born April 27, 1920, in Martin, Tennessee to Myrtie Opal and Robert Leslie Byars. Nancy married Joseph William White in 1940 and after his passing in 2002, she lived independently in their home until her death.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Robert Walsh, Scott Walsh, Molly Walsh Stukey (Troy Stukey) and Nancy Walsh Lochman (Brad Lochman); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Stukey, Caroline Stukey, Ryan Lochman, Lainey Walsh, Jack Lochman, and Grace Lochman.

Her favorite things were spending time with family, shopping, driving her red Cadillac, having a daily glass of wine, seeing family pets, working out and doing crossword puzzles. She was loved immeasurably and will be missed by so many for her quick wit, kindness, high fashion and independence.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Victoria Walsh; brother, Robert L. Byars Jr. (Alice Byars); sister, Patricia Dick (Karl Dick); brother, John Byars (Sally Byars); four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill White; sister, Elizabeth Athey; nephew, Cullen Athey.
