Michael Murphy Obituary

Michael W. Murphy, age 69, passed away at home Thursday, December 2, 2021. In addition to his parents, William J. and Dorothy M. Murphy, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary C. Murphy. He is survived by two children, Kathleen D. Murphy of Columbus and Ryan M. Murphy of California; two brothers, Martin A. Murphy of Dallas and John J. Murphy of Columbus; a sister, Sheila A. Murphy of Washington D.C., and a longtime companion, Virginia Black of Columbus. Michael was a thoughtful person known for his warm-hearted kindness to family, friends, and pets; quirky sense of humor; love of politics; and writing and photography skills. “I know the Good Lord loves me,” he said. “Knows me and loves me anyway.”
