Obituary
Mescal Dawn Mays, age 87, passed away September 2, 2023. She was born in Kegley, West Virginia on June 16, 1936 to the late Walter and Ruby Mays. Graduate of Concord High School. Longtime member of Holy Spirit Church. Retired from Western Electric and also worked for Owens Illinois in Bridgeton, NJ and Maiden Form Bras in Princeton, WV. Dawn was a longtime caregiver for her mother, Ruby. She is survived by cousins in West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4383 East Broad Street where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Elgood Cemetery in Elgood, West Virginia.
