Melinda "Mindy" Catherine Salyers

Melinda (Mindy) Catherine Salyers, age 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 16, 2024, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.  She was born on September  20, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio. Mindy graduated from Gahanna Lincoln H.S.’81. Mindy loved to paint the town with her two best friends, Lydia and Shannon and she always had to wear her favorite pair of playmate jeans. The three musketeers!

Mindy married her husband in 1991 and moved to Lehigh Acres, Florida where she spent 27 years raising two sons Adam and Noah. Mindy loved being a daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, God mother, aunt, and a friend. Mindy had a wonderful positive spirit even with her physical limitations.

Mindy was extremely proud of her work with her faith and her best friend Millie Ribot teaching life skills to a group of girls called Maidens of the blessed mother. She was an active member with her husband as a Knight of Columbus axillary member at St. Raphael, Lehigh Acres, Fl.

Aunt: Kathleen (Dempsey) Patton & Donald, Aunt: Marylou Dunn, Aunt: Bonnie Newman of Mariposa, CA, Aunt: Theresia & Phil Chin of London OH, God son: Eric Chin, Uncle: William & Sandy Lawrence, numerous cousins, church members and friends.
