Maryalice Patton Spires ‘Patty’

Maryalice Patton Spires ‘Patty’ was born on December 18, 1940 in Logan, OH and passed away on December 24, 2025 at home in Columbus, OH.

Patty will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. She volunteered with many organizations and she enjoyed helping others and attending events at church and Northland Senior Village. Patty retired from AEP in 1998 after a 39-year career. She often spoke of her favorite work with the students and faculty at St. James the Less School, 2004-2013.

Family and friends were at the heart of Patty’s life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rebecca Spires. She is survived by her brother Robert Patton Swaim; sister Sr. Rebeca Spires, SND; daughter, Bobbi (Joe) Krabill; and grandsons, Tristen Burke and Tyler Burke, who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also fondly remembered by many special cousins, as well as dear neighbors and friends who became like family over the years.

The family deeply appreciates the care provided by her physicians, Anindya Sen, MD, Emily Saul, DO, and Brian Dusseau, DO, and Luminary Hospice nurses and aides, especially Allison, Tina, and Carmen.

Family and friends will gather at Egan Ryan Funeral Home, 403 E. Broad St. on Sunday, January 4, 1-4 pm. Funeral Mass is Monday, January 5, 10 am at St. James the Less Church with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, OH.
