Mary Morse Caito Obituary

Mary Morse Caito passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026.  Mary was born February 22, 1926, in Columbus, Ohio.  Preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Thomas Joseph Caito, son Philip Caito, parents Katherine Miller Morse and Benjamin Clarke Morse, Jr., sister Katherine M. Gabay, and brothers Benjamin C. Morse, III, and William M. Morse.  Survived by daughters Mary Katherine “Kit” Caito and Connie Aluise (Frank), sons Thomas Caito, Jr. (Eileen) and Anthony Caito (Misty), and her daughter-in-law, Teresa Caito, wife of the late Philip Caito,  grandchildren Laura Caito, Natalie Caito (Chris Scudder), Dawn Fisch (Scott), Katie Pugh (Matt), Tom Aluise (Megan), Mary Huff (David), Tony Aluise (Lydia), Grace Maynard (Matt), Joe Caito, Kayleigh Caito (Gavin),  Cassidy Bibler (Eric), great grandchildren Molly, Joey, Will, Landon, Rowan, Remy, Oliver, &Orli, and many nieces & nephews.

Mary was a graduate of the Columbus School for Girls and Lake Erie College, and attended The Ohio State University Graduate School.  She was an honorary member of the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, a Sweetheart of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and a member of The Childhood League Board IV,the Columbus Country Club, the Companions of St. Vincent, and St. Catharine Church.

Visitation hours are Sunday, February 22, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at Egan-Ryan Central Chapel, 403 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215.  Private entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. 

Contributions may be made to the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary Foundation, The Childhood League, Inc., or a charity of your choice.
