Mary Anne O'Reilly Obituary

Mary Anne Eunice O’Reilly of Powell, Ohio, 57, passed away in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, March 31, 2023, after fighting a lifelong battle against health challenges with grace.

Mary was born Nov. 16, 1965, in Columbus to Tom and Eunice (Bates) O’Reilly. Her many interests during her youth included horseback riding, in which she competed at the Ohio State Fair. She graduated in 1984 from Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus where she was an honor student and a homecoming court attendant.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in marketing from The Ohio State University, she worked for Arthur Andersen Consulting in Westerville, Ohio, where she was part of a credit card project. She then moved to Chicago where she continued her information technology career working for Discover Card. She transferred to the marketing department of Discover Card so she could apply her passion for marketing. After moving back to the Columbus area, she joined the Resource Marketing ad agency, where she worked on a 1997 Super Bowl commercial for CompuServe. Mary then had her own direct marketing firm for more than 20 years.

Her favorite role was being a mother, raising her children in Powell, then Galena, Medina and Fairlawn. She was a talented artist and animal lover. Her hobbies included home remodeling. She especially loved painting the interior of her homes.

Mary is survived by her parents, Tom and Eunice O’Reilly, Powell; sister, Molly (Tim McGhee), Powell; brother, Dan (Anna Haston), Bexley; daughter, Cassidy Wilmoth (fiancé Zach Brown), Barberton; son, Connor Wilmoth, Berea; and many, many dear friends and other relatives, and her pets, dog Jelly Bean and cat Titan.
