Martha Carolyn Deibel, age 94, passed away November 16, 2019 at Friendship Village. She was born in New Lexington, Ohio on March 29, 1925 to the late Carl and Elizabeth Snyder. As a member of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps, Martha was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. She went on to have a long nursing career at Mt. Carmel Hospital taking care of many new mothers and babies. Martha eventually retired from Ocala Florida Health Department in 1987. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Peace Church where she served faithfully on the funeral service ministry. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward Carl Deibel and her brother, Allen Snyder. She is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie Deibel and Mary Catherine (Phil) Mauro; grandsons, Kyle (Kacie) Mauro, Colin Mauro and Corey Mauro; sisters-in-law, Sr. Rose Marie Deibel, SND and Arlene Deibel; nieces and nephews; and special friends Damon and Janet Bower and family. Friends may call Sunday, November 24 from 2-5 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road where a Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 20 East Dominion Blvd. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
