Marilyn J. Trapp

Marilyn W. Trapp, age 100, Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Member of St. Catharine Parish for over 70 years where she served in numerous capacities including choir director for over 40 years, music minister and establishing the Housewives choir.  Graduate of Grove City High School and Capital University Conservatory of Music where she was a proud member of the Chapel Choir.  Past member of the Elizabethan Guild, Brace IV of Easter Seals, Auxiliary Dental Society, and Past President of the Altar Rosary Society.   Preceded in death by parents Henry L. and Wilhelmina Kropp Witteman and husband of 56 years Dr. James Robert Trapp.  Survived by children Deborah T. Rodenfels, James W. (Meredith) Trapp, Susan T. (Robert) Campbell, John R. (Elizabeth) Trapp, and Melinda J. Trapp; grandchildren Tiffany, James (Lisa) and Greg (Amber) Rodenfels, Kathleen (Adam) Brankamp and Joseph Campbell, John (Becky) and Michael (Taylor) Trapp, Christian (fiancé Annalisa) Trapp, Julia (Evan) Ecos and William (Beth) Trapp; 12 great grandchildren; many special nieces, cousins and friends.  Friends may call Sunday 2-6 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday  11:00 a.m. at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd.  Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visit www.egan-ryan.com for condolences.
