Marianne Allen

Marianne Allen, age 53, passed away May 20, 2024 after a battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.  She was born on October 4, 1970 to Dwight and Carolyn Allen.  Graduate of Bishop Hartley High School and Walsh College.    Marianne was a longtime elementary school teacher focusing on special needs children in Marion, Ohio.  Most recently she worked in the same capacity with Columbus City Schools.  She was a devout Catholic who lived her life by helping others.  She is preceded in death by her father, Dwight Allen.  She is survived by her mother Carolyn Whipps Allen; brother Michael (Sarah) Allen; nephew Luke Allen.  Friends may call Wednesday, May 29 from 5-7 pm at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 30 at 10 am at St. Matthew Church, 807 Havens Corners Road.  Private burial at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kobacker House, OhioHealth Foundation, 3430 OhioHealth Parkway, Fl. 3, Columbus, OH 43202.
