Margaret Louise (Callahan) Selegue, born 1928 to Richard and Cecilia Callahan. Margaret grew up in the south end of Columbus while attending St. Leo Elementary School and graduated high school from St. Joseph Academy. Margaret received her Secretarial Degree from Franklin University and started a career with the Big Bear Company. She was happily married to her husband “Jofe” for nearly 70 years. Margaret spent many years as a stay at home mom raising 7 children, volunteering at church and school functions at Christ the King and Bishop Hartley High School. Beginning in the early 70’s Margaret was employed by the Catholic Dioceses of Columbus for 20 years while serving on the Bishop Hartley Advisory Board for 10 years. She enjoyed her flower gardens, family stories she shared of Booneville, Indiana. Margaret’s most treasured moments were family gatherings with children and grandchildren of whom she was so very proud. Margaret is survived by brother, Richard (Sarah) Callahan and sister, Patricia Briggs; sons, Michael (Kelley), Brian (Barb), Stephen (Kimberly) and Paul (Deanna); daughters, Rebecca and Amy (Phil); son-in-law, Kurt Delker; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Preceded in death by 2 infant daughters; husband, Lawrence J. Selegue; daughter, Kate (Selegue) Delker of Maryland; brother-in-law, Dudley Briggs. A Mass of Christian Burial was held for the family at Christ the King Church with a burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery.
