Margaret McAvoy Walker

Margaret McAvoy, 90, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021 at home.  She has been surrounded by loving family and friends throughout her illness.  Born on January 22, 1930 in Huntington, WV.  She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church.  Our Mom was an independent woman born before her time and who embraced life.  Her love and faith in God carried her through 90 years of an amazing life.  Preceded in death by parents, Hazel Paxton and Earl Ash; brothers, William, Dennie and Charles; sisters, Juanita and Eloise; husbands, Harold McAvoy and Jack Walker.  Survived by loving children, Charles McAvoy, Ron (Jan) McAvoy, Kathy Osborn and Tammy Maynard; grandchildren Angie Cervantez, Jesse Cervantez, Aaron McAvoy, Beth Osborn and John Osborn; great-grandchildren, Shawna, Maryah, Jesse, Tzia, Autumn, Rylo and Tuki ; great-great-granddaughter, Kay’Awna; sister, Wanda Shull; daughter-in-law, Sue Crapes; nieces, nephews; special friends Ruth and Ben Snyder and her church family.  Friends may call Thursday from 12- 1 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4701 Winchester Pike where a Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m.  Burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
