Margaret Lombardo Obituary

Margaret Lombardo age 96 died peacefully on 5/17/2022.  She was born on 8/20/25 to Reta and Othel Creps. She graduated from Ada high school in 1942. While attending Ada high, she met the love of her life, Vince. Vince was a college student at Ohio Northern University and while attending an Ada high football game, she caught his eye while watching her perform as a drum majorette at halftime. After sharing a soda post game, they were smitten and married in 1944. Margaret attended a one year business college and worked until they were married. Margaret and Vince went on to have 7 children and proudly raised them together until Vince’s passing in 1981. During those years Margaret volunteered on many committees at Church and the School at St. Catherine’s in Eastmoor. After Vince’s death, Margaret never even considered remarrying as her soul focus, purpose and joy continued to be her dedication to her family.  While providing endless time, attention and care to her children and Grandchildren she embarked on a new career: Proud Receptionist in her son Vince’s dental practice in Clintonville where she worked until she was 80 years old.

Margaret had a wonderful personality and was able to relate to anyone. She had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. She never missed a party, enjoying her favorite red wine with family or friends. However, Margaret was most well known for her unending helpful acts that she provided to her friends and family whenever needed, expecting nothing in return. She was a good listener, gave good advice, was always positive and very loyal. Her dedication and devotion to her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren was boundless.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband Vince, four sisters: Louise, Soni, Jobie and Willow, and her son-in-law Jeffery McGarvey. She is survived by her 7 children: Thomas and his wife Taylor, Carmela and her husband Terry, Louis and his wife Michele, Vincent J, Rita, Judy and her husband Paul, Jim and his wife Cindy; Grandchildren: Joseph, Angie, Ethan, Alex, Anthony, Jeffery, Margaret, Vincent, Maria, Nicholas, Erin, Daniel, Andrea, Michael, Matthew, Alex, Gabrielle, Brookelyn; as well as several great grandchildren.
