Obituary
Mae Louise “Billie” Grant departed this life at the age of 96 on Friday, September 8, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She was the last surviving child of Benjamin F. and Julia May (Preissler) Caple. Her lifelong nickname “Billie” was lovingly conferred by her maternal grandfather before she was a year old. She was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Grant, Jr., daughter Karen,son David, and her four siblings.
Throughout her life she cherished the roles of wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the game of golf, made friends wherever she went, and will be remembered by family and friends for her gift of storytelling.
Keeping her memory alive are her son Steve (Kathy), daughters Debbie (Nick) Geldis, Sheila (Brian) Blanch and Sandy Grant, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Consistent with her wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A graveside service with extended family will be held at Calvary Cemetery in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, at a future date.Memorial donations may be made to Ohio Living Hospice or the Upper Arlington Commission on Aging
