Lynda Ackley-Meyers

Lynda Ackley-Meyers, 79, of Reynoldsburg, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at Laurels of Worthington.  Lynda was born on December 25, 1942.  She was the second child of Walter and Loreen Meehan.  She is survived by her husband Elwood Meyers, her brother Bob (Nancy) Meehan. Her children Richard Ackley, Teresa Ackley and Jeffrey Ackley. Grandchildren Tiffany Ackley, Corey (Ashley) Owen, Colleen Owen, Charlie (Christopher) Neese and Angel Jackson as well as great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends she made over the years. She is preceded in death by parents Walter and Loreen Meehan, brother Joseph Meehan, children Jodi Semler, Colleen S. Ackley and nephew Johnny Meehan.

In Lynda’s early years she attended school at Bishop Hartley High.  Lynda worked many years to provide for her family.  In her free time, she volunteered at Children’s Hospital in the burn unit.  She was a devoted wife and mother.  Lynda had a witty sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.  She had a love of animals and reading.  Facing and dealing for many years with Alzheimer’s disease, Lynda demonstrated to family and friends great grace and courage. Despite the hardships she overcame, she was and will continue to be an inspiration for future generations.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. at 403 E Broad St. Columbus, Ohio 43215 on Friday, November 18, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be offered by Father Ramon Owera at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Holy Rosary & St John Catholic Church at 648 S. Ohio Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43205 with a procession to follow to St. Joseph Cemetery.
