Lois Mary (Strojny) Andrasko

With heavy hearts, we remember Lois Mary Strojny Andrasko, a remarkable woman who lived a full life filled with love, faith, and family.

Lois, 97, of Boynton Beach, Florida (formerly of Columbus, Ohio), died on January 29, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She leaves behind four children, son Jim, and daughters Diane, Sharon, and Mary. 

She was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania on December 11, 1928 to Lottie Elizabeth Zagorski Strojny and Frank John Strojny Sr. and grew up with her brother, Frank John Strojny. Lois was always a source of care and compassion and channeled that in her career as a nurse. She attended Wyoming Valley Nursing School in Wilkes-Barre, PA from 1946-1949. Then worked at New York-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center from 1949-1951. In 1951, Lois relocated to Ohio where she continued to work at various hospitals in the Columbus area. There Lois met her late husband Francis Andrasko. They were married on August 22, 1953. Together, they created a life full of love and joy while raising their children. Lois adored her 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A devoted woman of faith, Lois never missed a Sunday Mass, even if it meant tuning in from the comfort of her home on the TV. When not enjoying time with her family, Lois loved enjoying a glass of wine or indulging in a little retail therapy. 

The family will be holding a viewing on Thursday February 26th from 4-6 PM at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home (403 E. Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215) and the Funeral Mass is Friday, February 27th at 11 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery (6440 S. High St.) in Lockbourne, OH.
