Lisa Murtha Colosimo, age 66, passed away peacefully at her home on September 10, 2024. Lisa was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Bishop Watterson H.S ‘75 and then The Ohio State University. Lisa possessed a tremendous work ethic which she applied both professionally and personally. She worked tirelessly throughout her career advocating for consumer rights beginning at the Ohio Consumers Council, and then a long tenure at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) where she worked until retirement. Additionally, she gracefully balanced that career while also investing tremendous attention and energy into raising her children in a loving home. Never one to sit still, after retirement from the PUCO, Lisa immersed herself volunteering at the Memorial Tournament where she served as Co-Chair in Hospitality Services. She made countless lifelong friends at every stage of her life. Lisa was beloved by everyone she met as she always offered them a big smile, a large heart, and a helping hand. She loved her family fiercely, and was an absolute joy to be around as she possessed such a bright and energetic spirit. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce Colosimo, and parents Edward and Mary Ellen Murtha. She is survived by her children, Erika (Dave) Gowan, Adrian (Lisa) Colosimo, Ryan Kirk, Steven (Claire) Kirk, John Colosimo; grandchildren, Ellery, Charlotte, Anna Belle, Ava, Owen & Isla; brother-in-law Brian Colosimo, siblings Ed (Amy) Murtha, Michele (Matt) Sapp and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Lisa is a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel 4661 Kenny Rd. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Church 5750 N. High St. Worthington, OH. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
