Linda Kay Rizzo, age 80, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. Born Linda Kay Kirkbride on September 5, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, she was the fourth of five children. Her family moved to Chesterhill, Ohio and then to Marion, Ohio, where Linda graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1962. Linda had a 26-year career at Fahey Bank, where she began as a teller and retired as a vice president. After a 10-year courtship, Linda married Thomas "Tom" Rizzo in 1988 and moved to Winter Springs, Fla. There for 31 sun-filled years, she worked for the State of Florida and the University of Central Florida. Throughout her career, Linda was active in the Beta Sigma Phi International sorority. Linda and Tom returned to Ohio in 2019 to Brookdale Trillium Crossing in Columbus, where they made dozens of new friends and acquaintances. Known for her friendly smile and effervescent positivity, Linda brightened every room she entered. She was enthusiastic, joyfully selfless and lived "The Golden Rule." She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Tom, her son Eric (Nancy) Wygle, granddaughter Ruthie Wygle, sister Bonnie Gewertz and brother James Dean Kirkbride. She also leaves behind many loving family members and friends. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Church.
