Laura McConnell-Moore

Laura McConnell-Moore, Born July 20, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois. She passed on March 5, 2025, Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by her father Fred William McConnell. Survived by her loving husband Anthony Robert (Rob) Moore. Her mother Edna Ruth (Belt) McConnell, her sisters Sue McConnell and Lacye Lynn Lembcke and brother Stephen Paul McConnell, and nephews Christopher Todd McConnell and Jeffrey Brian McConnell.

She loved her animals, cats in particular. She also loved her literature, (British and Russian). She loved to work with her art supplies, working with whatever hit her at the time, draw, paint, write. She loved her Law and Order, and true crime shows. She loved her comedies; we laughed all the time. I can't think of many times we weren't trying to make the other laugh. 

When she moved to Columbus to be with me, she made another family. She now had two. Bob, Fred, Leon, Joon, Erick, Jerry, A.J., Marty, Amanda, Scott, and so many, many more.

Her life with me was the best thing that ever happened to me and I'm sure to so many others she touched and made smile for at least a while and that's all we all can hope for.

Please hug someone you love today and let them know they are loved and then tickle them and tell them that's from Laura.

Laura, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and most certainly devoted friend. Being the human mom to all our kitties, starting with her beloved Josie. She was the Yin to my Yang.  She turned all of us to Mystery Science Theater 3000 and a huge Chicago Bears and Cubs fan and was an enabler for comic book craze and even found many she enjoyed herself.

My little brown eyed Irish girl, we will meet again in Heaven.

...it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.

Friends may call March 14 Friday 4-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. where the Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m.  Burial Union Cemetery.
