Kenneth J. Hoag II, 70, of Delray Beach, Florida and Upper Arlington, Ohio passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 with his loving family at his side. Kenny graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1974, where he had many close, special and lifelong friends. He played halfback on the football team and was captain of the track team. Kenny holds the 100-yard dash record at Upper Arlington High School. Sports came effortlessly to Kenny and he carried himself with grace both on and off the field. He attended The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan where he was a member of the football team. After college, he worked for Hoag & Hoag Insurance and eventually made his home in Delray Beach, where he will be remembered for his big heart, and his genuine care for others. He never said an unkind word about anyone. He was an unconditional friend to those in need and to kindred spirits like himself. Kenny was full of kindness to all. Kenny was always there to help if someone needed a hand. He loved his dogs, treating them at fast food drive-throughs and found true peace and happiness at the beach, where he enjoyed the sound of waves and the feeling of open space and freedom. His family and friends will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Hoag. He is survived by his brothers, Wes (Kim) Hoag and Bobby (Marnie) Hoag, his niece, Lindsay Hoag Garrison (Mike), his nephew Bo (Kristen) Hoag, his grandniece, Stella Lou Hoag, his grandnephew, Robert Nash Hoag, and his aunt, Elaine Smith. Daisy Hilt was also a cherished part of his extended family. Kenny will be memorialized in a celebration of life. Friends are welcome to attend on Thursday, January 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Scioto Country Club.
