Kenneth N. Rosselet, Jr.

Kenneth Noble Rosselet, Jr., known affectionately to family as Butch, passed away on June 28, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 78. He was born on September 19, 1947, spending his whole life in Columbus, Ohio. He lived a life marked by kindness, friendship, wisdom, and a lively sense of humor that brought comfort and laughter to those around him.

Ken was a Christian man whose faith shaped the way he lived, loved, and served others. He was a long time member of St. Peter Catholic Church where he served on many committees. He had a warm presence, a quick wit, and a gift for colorful storytelling. He could make people laugh without even trying too hard, which is a rare talent and, frankly, one that should have come with a warning label.

He was a graduate of Whetstone High School and later studied business at The Ohio State University. That education served him well throughout his career, but his greatest lessons often came from life itself. Ken spent a long and respected career with the Ohio Consumer’s Council, where his work reflected his steady character and his commitment to helping others. After retiring, he did not slow down in spirit, because he launched his own successful tax business and continued serving people with the same diligence and integrity that had always defined him. He had the uncommon ability to make taxes look easy, which is impressive.

One of Ken’s greatest joys in life was his family. He was married to Sandy Rosselet for 55 years, and their marriage stood as a beautiful example of devotion, partnership, and enduring love. He is survived by Sandy; his twin sister, Terry Borchlewicz; his siblings, Sharon Haas, Donn Rosselet and his wife Rita, Rich Rosselet and his wife Paula, and Mark Rosselet and his wife Robin; brother-in-laws Chris (Judy) Longhenry and many nieces and nephews; and his two devoted Dachshunds, Willie and Lily. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wilda Rosselet, Sr., and his in-laws, George and Juanita Longhenry, sister-in-law Kathy (Mike)Bergman. His family was one of his greatest treasures, and he cherished every gathering, every conversation, and every opportunity to be surrounded by the people he loved.

Ken was a very accomplished bowler and achieved a 300 game,  which is no small feat. Bowling was one of the many ways he enjoyed life, and he took pride in doing things well. Yet even with his accomplishments, his heart was always most full when he was spending time with his large family. His favorite role was being Uncle Butch to his many nieces and nephews. He loved being together, sharing stories, eating a home cooked meal and enjoying the simple blessings of life. Those moments mattered deeply to him, and they will remain precious memories for all who knew him.

Those who knew Ken will remember him as kind, friendly, and wise. He was the sort of man who could offer good advice, a well-timed joke, and a reminder that God is still in control, all in the same conversation. His life was a testimony to faith, family, and faithful living. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on July 7th at 10 am at St. Peter Church, 6899 Smoky Row Road.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
